1:1 Antenatal Courses at your home - personalised around you!
“I couldn’t have asked for a better support when having my first baby. She came to our home and had all the time in the world answering our worries, questions and general support. She went through all the things the normal antenatal classes won’t cover and also helped with feeding advice and recovery tips. The tools we were armed us with ensured we had the most amazing, fully informed experience in hospital. I felt in control of the birth and my options. Thank you!”
You can do an antenatal course with a midwife which is fully personalised around you and at your home, with your birth partner
The antenatal course covers:
Birth options for all eventualities including vaginal births, induction of labour, assisted births and also caesarean births
How to write your birth preferences
Preparation for birth partners to help advocate for you and support you during labour
Feeding options for once your baby is born
Postnatal recovery and how to help yourself heal from birth
Writing a postnatal plan to help in the fourth trimester
Postnatal options including safe sleep
Caring for your baby - including bathing, dressing baby, soothing baby and using a stretchy sling
How does it work?
The course is usually taught in 2-3 hour sessions which can be in the daytime or evening, depending on what works for you
We can tailor the course around how much and what you want to cover - typical 1:1 antenatal courses are taught over 6 hour or 9 hours, depending on what you need!
As the course is fully personalised, it means that if there’s an aspect of antenatal prep that you’d like to cover more in depth or an aspect you’d prefer to leave out then we can work the course around you!
“We felt informed and able to make decisions to suit us, this resulted in a really amazing birth experience and I am 100% certain that was down to everything we learnt during this course.”

“We had 1-2-1 sessions with Sophie prior to the birth of our first baby. Sophie is very experienced, gives great advice based on research, and is incredibly passionate about what she does. Sophie was really supportive and gave well rounded and balanced advice when our birth plan changed. Sophie also provided support in between sessions and even after our baby was born...Sophie is always just a message away. Sophie also has a great network of people who can support with other aspects of pregnancy and birth prep. Without a doubt having the sessions with Sophie made our pregnancy journey easier, gave us confidence to have difficult discussions and it was fun!! Sophie genuinely cares about what she does and equipping new parents to make informed decisions. We would highly recommend!”
