Hi! I’m Lisa!

Worcester Antenatal and Postnatal Classes with Lisa

Plus antenatal courses for parents expecting their 2nd/3rd baby, hypnobirthing courses, introducing solids workshops, support with babywearing plus Worcester Sling Library and free drop in socials for new parents!

Hi! My name is Lisa, I am a midwife currently based in a midwife led birth centre. I have over a decade of hospital experience and 4 years of community experience. I have facilitated many births of all kinds from home births to waterbirth to inductions to assisted and caesarean deliveries. I also have 3 children myself, two adult daughters and a little boy. I have personally experienced a range of births!

I am passionate about preparing women/birthing people and their partners for labour, birth and their new arrival. The Village Midwife course is perfect for this and I love teaching it, helping to prepare families for all eventualities. The course offers a relaxed, supportive environment outside of the busy NHS setting and gives the time you need to go through all of the information needed to empower you!

As an antenatal client, you get my on going support for the duration of the pregnancy and postnatal period for as long as you need it - I'm always happy for a chat about any issues you may be having. I offer 1:1 support for birth planning, feeding support or anything else you might need! I also offer optional extra sessions to cover hypnobirthing techniques.

I am a trained sling consultant and include newborn carrying in the antenatal course and do a full session on the postnatal course which people find really useful. The postnatal course is lovely to come along and have a weekly catch up with a different focus each week covering postnatal mental health, infant feeding, infant sleep, baby massage, postnatal recovery, slings and carriers and infant first aid. We are joined by local experts for these sessions.

I also offer starting solids workshops that many families return for. Once you have had your baby you have the option to join our local Village Midwife WhatsApp group for ongoing support, I organise a monthly drop-in session

We recently attended the course in Worcester with Lisa, she was very informative and helpful, she gave us lots of useful information exploring all different aspects of childbirth and postnatal care while reminding us that everything was our choice.

She really made us feel at ease and we ended the course filled with confidence going into the next chapter of our lives.

My husband and I attended the antenatal course in the Worcester area with midwife Lisa. The course was so so helpful and informative and defiantly worth our while attending. Lisa is a brilliant midwife and her teaching has really widened our knowledge and understanding on the whole pregnancy journey and allowed us to feel a lot more comfortable and at ease with the choices to make. We also got to meet 5 other lovely expectant couples and it’s great to hear their thoughts/experiences too on their journeys.
We would highly recommend Lisa’s courses to any other expectant mommy’s and daddy’s to be as you really do get so much out of it. No question is ever looked over and Lisa is also there to help after the course via phone should you need.
Thank you Lisa, we shall definitely be back for the postnatal course!

Just finished our antenatal course with Lisa and it was super helpful and informative. Lisa is very approachable and I feel supported going forward with all the knowledge gained. I struggled to find any local courses for parents of twins so booked in with Lisa and she made sure to give us extra information about how my twin delivery may differ etc. Also during a baby wearing/sling session she made sure me and my partner were not only able to use a stretch wrap for 1 baby but how to use it for 2! Thank you so much Lisa, see you for the postnatal sessions when the twins arrive!
